Course info
This group examines the portrayal of assylum seekers, the socio-cultural construction of non-citizens. There has also been extensive exploration of broader racial issues and representation.

How much will it cost?
Standard Arts & Science Fees for 2007/08: £3240. An additional research support fee may be incurred for some Science-based areas of study, which you will be notified of, prior to commencement. Further information on postgraduate fees, is available from the Finance Division or the provider website.

Assessment method
Thesis and an oral examination

Entry Requirements
Suitable for graduates in the Humanities and Social Sciences with appropriate disciplinary specialisations. Normally a good undergraduate degree is required (a first or exceptionally a 2.1) and candidates will usually have successfully completed an MA degree.
